MEET THE FLIGHT CREW

Created, written and performed by Nicole Hardy and Jennifer Warnick

NICOLE HARDY is the author of “Confessions of a Latter-day Virgin” (Hyperion), a memoir centered on her unexpected exodus from the Mormon church. She’s best known for her Modern Love essay, “Single Female Mormon Alone,” which was featured on the Modern Love Podcast and noted in Best American Essays.

She has taught creative writing in Seattle for more than 15 years, where she’s also been a longtime fixture in the literary community, performing at notable events including the Hugo House Lit Series, the 2023 Hugo House Party, and the live storytelling series Back Fence PDX.

She’s currently at work on a memoir about the year she spent sailing around the world on a tall ship as a 42-year-old novice.

She is currently working on stories about her curious lifelong relationship to airplanes, her exit from Mormonism, her seven years as a Rat City Rollergirl, and the perils and peace of moving alone to the woods. She splits her time between Seattle and the Olympic Peninsula with her trusty city dog sidekick, Lewis Patrick Swayze Lebowski.
